Federal land within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area will be redesignated into two parts:
The Delaware River National Park
Consists of a corridor of land along the Delaware River and includes the Dingmans Falls and Raymondskill Falls areas.
Highest level of environmental protection given by Park Service
No consumptive activities (i.e. hunting, farming ) are permitted.
Consists of about 10,000 acres.
The Lenape Preserve
All Federal land within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area not designated as National Park.
Hunting and farming are permitted.
Consists of about 50-55,000 acres.
